Hi David,
Thanks for your comment on my wiki, Welker's Wikinomics. Your English class wiki looks great! One piece of advice, something that took me a few months to really realize I should do: think hard about how you organize your navigation bar on the left side. I notice you have something like 20 or so seperate categories with more pages under each category. I used to have loads of pages in the navigation bar, but have now trimmed it down to four. Basically "course info", "sem 1", "sem 2" and "resources". All of the other individual pages (over 120 now!) are in the drop down menus under those big categories. It makes navigation around my wiki way more logical and easy to figure out. Basically, effective organization was the key to making my wiki more user friendly...
Anyway, great to see how other teachers are using the technology! I think there may be some news coming from Wetpaint in the next couple of weeks you might like to hear about educational wikis... stay posted to their main site!

Hi. I had to join before I could make a comment. I've just started using a wetpaint wiki as a place for my (junior) classes to post the kind of items they would otherwise put in their journals, for my eyes only. Now they can see and comment on each other's work - real communication. I hope to extend it to other staff at my school once I have trialed it. it does seem to have a lot of possibilities. Good luck with your site.
