Would you like to live in the “ Brave New World ” described in the book ? Why or why not ?

No, I would not like to live in the “Brave New World”. ‘Why not?’ you may ask. Why don’t you want to live in such a ‘stable’ and ‘organized’ world?

Firstly, I find determining people's social caste before they are even born an unfair process. This is because I think that it is unfair for those who have to work harder than other classes - especially when their class is chosen to suffer when they don’t deserve it.

I think ‘aversion conditioning’ takes away human rights! I don’t think I would be able to live in a world where you have no freedom to choose. It’s like living in a concentration camp. We wouldn't get to read books and enjoy nature just so that society can be prosperous.

I don’t support the ‘Bokanovsky process’ as well. I think it is not acceptable to clone human beings. It’s immoral and it interferes with how natural life is created. Although it may seem amusing to have 96 copies of me running around Marymount, wouldn’t that be unfair to say the only 2 or 3 Kimberly’s in my class when 5 of me failed to graduate but the rest still could ? That means Kimberly would have to work super hard.

Secondly, the society in this ‘New World’ discriminates! It’s almost as if the war hasn’t ended. It’s almost as bad as war. This is because although discrimination does not kill people, it hurts people mentally. And if this happens every day I don’t think I could live in a place where you can’t get any support from someone you trust such as a parent.

If seeing two people or more at once is supported by the society then I don’t think I could survive in this society because if this keeps happening people will not be able to learn how to trust. And I think life is pretty hard if you don’t trust anyone.
In this ‘New World’, the society doesn’t realize that “Soma” is not good for them. If they abuse it, it damages their health, get addicted to it and will not be able to see happiness.

So, no. I don’t want to live in this “Brave New World”. Yes, you may say it’s “stable” and yes, you may say it’s “organized” but what good does it do to the less fortunate?

Very thought provoking, clear and detailed comments, though your points could follow a clearer plan. Remember how to write a five paragraph essay and use effective linking phrases. Aren't the epsilons happy doing physical work?
